This month the Upholstery Contemporary Arts pulls apart the social fabric around us, with ‘EX-….Smashing the myth of consumerism’.

Join 4 local emerging artists as they explore the connections between community and consumerism and dissect contemporary society to look at the thought processes and choices that are made in relation to the way we live.
Featuring Bexley Birrell, Tania Cobham, Darren Merchant, Beth Shorter, the exhibition will include drawings sculpture, photography, installation, assemblage, digital prints and a crowd interactive ‘performance’ piece.
Ex- has also been timed to highlight the upcoming 6th annual International Buy Nothing Day (25 Nov) reminding us to consider the role that each of us play in global consumerism.
Green Ant Cantina will be providing food and refreshments for the masses and the audio vibe will be set with live music from Melanie Pells and Dj Jonesy.
