That’s right, It’s the third exciting issue of Cairns’ very own ‘art-zine’, A5, being launched at the Upholstery Xmas party at the Green Ant Cantina, 7:30pm on the 15th of December!

All Members, friends and supporters are invited to join the Upholstery for Xmas drinks as it unveils its latest publication A5.3 and celebrates a hugely successful 2006
 
A5 has evolved into a thriving organism in 2006. Spearheaded by Editor/designer Laila Whiteing, and a dedicated group of amazing local artists, the A5 has exceded all our expectations, with issue 4 already underway and several more planned for 2007.

Featuring local emerging and developing artists including, Malakai Aird, Nicola Bryars, Renae Harris, Caroline Mudge, Neil (Orange Peel) Parker, Lachlan Phillips, Kane Raybould, Samuel Tupou, Marcel Varna, Daniel (Wally) Wallwork and Laila Whiteing A5 is spreading its Xmas ‘cheer’.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get your hands on the limited 100, custom made artist editions that will be released at the Xmas party, with standard editions of A5 being available the following week at selected outlets locally and interstate.

The evening kicks off from 7:30pm at the Green Ant Cantina on Friday 15th from 7:30pm till 2pm. Entry Is Free

If you miss the launch, you will find a limited number of this rareity, locally available only at the Green Ant Cantina, Kick Arts Shop, Arts Nexus, Shiva Moon, Cracker Box Palace, Taste-y, Fetish, Compound and Lilli-pad Cafe also at selected interstate outlets.
